How to Delete Your Account & Data

Delete Your Account (Self-Service)

You can delete your account directly from within the SocialQo application by following these steps:

1. Log in to your SocialQo account.
2. Navigate to Profile Settings by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner and selecting "Profile."
3. Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section at the bottom of the page.
4. Click the "Delete Account" button and confirm your password when prompted.
5. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your user profile (name, email, preferences).
• All connected social media accounts and their stored OAuth tokens.
• All posts, drafts, and scheduled content you created.
• Uploaded media files.
• Analytics data and performance metrics.
• AI-generated content history.
• Brand voice profiles.
• Notification history and preferences.

Note: If you are the sole owner of a team/workspace, deleting your account will also delete the team and all its associated data. If there are other team members, you should transfer ownership before deleting your account.

Disconnect Social Accounts Without Deleting

If you only want to revoke SocialQo's access to a specific social platform without deleting your entire account:

1. Go to Channels in the sidebar.
2. Find the social account you want to disconnect.
3. Click the disconnect option on that channel.
4. The OAuth tokens and associated data for that account will be removed from SocialQo.

You can also revoke access from the platform side (e.g., Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → remove SocialQo).

Data Retention After Deletion

After account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our active systems. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being fully purged. We do not retain any of your data beyond this period unless required by law.
